The author relates his experiences from an early age, growing up in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, and the profound impressions it left with him. These are well described as anecdotal excerpts that will reflect a colourful picture. A keen sense of adventure and interest in his bushveld surroundings, provided the natural backdrop for his observations and love of the environment which includes wildlife, geology, rock climbing and especially archaeology - Stone Age, San Rock art and Iron Age cultures. The Anthology of stories also identifies the author's strong sense of well-being in the natural environment as well as the sometimes unusual and paranormal events experienced in and around where he lived, worked and travelled. A quick sense of humour and seeing the funny side if life are described for the readers pleasure. The author and his family, despite a rapidly changing environment, have always been drawn back to the bushveld, particularly in Zimbabwe. The reader may relate to these stories and enjoy some of the rather precarious life lessons that the author learned along the way.
