The author uses everyday language to remind its readers of God's love and mercy. It is amazing to read the author's poetic expressions as she reminds readers about the love and care that mothers provide every day. The author uses her pin to express her love and devotion to persons that has inspired her. She even finds space within this manuscript to express a poetic verse about a dear friend. Simply Amazed closes with a series of essays and poems about the author's mother that leads readers to reflect upon their personal relationship with their mothers.
Biographie:
Brenda G. Wilson Billings is a descendant of the Reverend Samuel H. Hairston. He was a pastor, principal, teacher, and poet. She is the daughter of the late Reverend and Mrs. J. C. Barnes. She attended and graduated from Northwestern High School of Detroit, Michigan and matriculated at Wayne State University. She is known in the city of Detroit as a poet and is a frequent speaker for women's ministries and other groups.
Brenda wrote and recited her first poem in the sixth grade. In 1982, she started recording her poems. She is the author of Inspirations that Come from the Morning Dew. She is married to Deacon Kevin Billings and they are members of Morning View Missionary Baptist Church.
