Résumé :
What made Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Rabindranath Tagore, Helen Keller, Leo Tolstoy, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein heroes of their field and our world ? What enabled these individuals forge new paths following none others? but their own, led by an inner fire raging firmly towards their intrinsic goals ? It can be said these individuals achieved their ?full potential? or, what Abraham Maslow a social scientist in 1943 termed in his research paper ?Theory of Human Motivation? as ?self-actualization.? How does one arrive on the path of self-actualization ? Can it be taught to an individual ? To realize more of one's inner self and to achieve one's true potential ? These are some of the questions and many more which the book attempts to answer. A research study was carried out to understand the extent to which ?self-actualization? was given importance particularly in multinational corporations (MNC?s) as stated in Maslow?s Theory. Since MNC?s are characterized by their global experiences having realized the immense value empowered individuals have on organizational progress, adopting largely human centric policies and programs.
