Charles Lutwidge Dogson, mais conhecido como Lewis Carroll (27 de janeiro de 1832 a 14 de janeiro de 1898), era o terceiro dos onze filhos de um pastor anglicano, sendo que se acostumou a contar hist?rias aos irm?os. Chegou a receber educa??o religiosa, mas seu grande interesse por ?lgebra, l?gica e geometria fez com que se formasse com honras na universidade de Oxford, onde foi convidado a atuar como professor de matem?tica. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, a British author, mathematician, and photographer, was born on January 27, 1832, in Daresbury, Cheshire, England. Lewis Carroll was his pen name. The children's books Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel, Through the Looking-Glass, are among Carroll's best-known works. His works are beloved by readers of all ages and are well-recognized for their inventive characters, absurd language, and exotic locations. Carroll was not just a gifted writer but also a gifted mathematician, logician, and photographer. He spent several years teaching mathematics at Christ Church, Oxford, where he was a fellow. Carroll was renowned for being a reclusive and mysterious guy despite his great achievements, and much of his personal life is still a mystery. It is known, however, that he was close friends with a number of young ladies, notably Alice Liddell, who served as the model for his most well-known character, Alice.
