The Albi book series features kid-friendly stories that help explain the different aspects of autism to children. Each book showcases a different challenge Albi faces. His challenges include; making friends, understanding facial expressions, following routines, and hypersensitivity to noise. The series aims to educate children, parents, and teachers about autism. The hope is that these books can educate and open up a dialogue about autism and diversity with children.
Biographie:
Gabrielle is a teacher who is passionate about helping and educating schools and families. As someone who works in special education, she found a lack of representation about autism in the children's book world. With inspiration from her students, she created this series about Albi, a young boy with autism.
