ComeCome Inside... . . . to see a visual and literary sideshow, featuring the creative side shows of five of Baltimore's most notable and unique 20th century residents-Johnny Eck, Blaze Starr, Divine, Axl Rotten, and Henrietta Lacks. Here you will find imaginative illustrated reinterpretations of the historical figures' original works in screen painting, custom jewelry, musical tracks, social media posts, and transport, presented alongside a range of captivating poetry forms. Together, these two artistic mediums merge to tell their own stories-highlighting the roles of disability, sexuality, gender, addiction, violence, and race in past and present exhibitionism.

Biographie:
Katherine Cottle is the author of I Remain Yours: Secret Mission Love Letters of My Mormon Great-Grandparents, 1900-1903 (Creative Nonfiction, 2014), Halfway: A Journal through Pregnancy (Memoir, 2010), and My Father's Speech (Poetry, 2008), all published by Apprentice House/Loyola University Maryland. Cottle received her Ph.D. in English/Professional Writing from Morgan State University in 2015 and currently teaches writing at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland.
