Résumé :
Adam Verlain loves his careful, cloistered world of rare books and never wants to leave it. But then Casey Blanchard, an American superstar, offers her grandfather's very rare and valuable 1865 copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to his university, and he is forced to travel from London to Los Angeles to close the deal. Only problem is, Casey first insists he escort her to her latest film premier for reasons that seem rather...odd. It's not a great night. Adam winds up brutally styled, rather stoned, gets mistaken for a British actor, is dragged to a far too typically untypical Hollywood party, has to dodge an overly affectionate guard panther, is nearly drowned, and is shocked to learn the book has actually been stolen...and Casey is using him to try and get it back. Can Adam escape the spotlight shenanigans long enough to save a true treasure from falling into the wrong hands? And can he keep himself from falling for a woman every man dreams of, but who is way beyond his reach, in this zany quest to rescue a priceless classic?...
Biographie:
Kyle Michel Sullivan is a writer and self-involved artist out to change the world until it changes him...as has already happened in far too many ways. He has written books that range from sunshine and light (David Martin) to cold and dark (How To Rape A Straight Guy, which has been banned a couple of times) to flat out crazy (The Lyons' Den) to mainstream (The Alice '65). He has now ventured into SF-Horror-Suspense with The Beast in the Nothing Room and taken Capitalism to its logical extreme in Hunter. He is now working to complete A Place of Safety, his Irish novel, using Tolstoy as his guide, and is trying to build characters as vivid and real as possible. He has a lot of fun doing it mixed with angst, anger, and amazement ... but that's the lot of a writer....
Sommaire:
Kyle Michel Sullivan used to write screenplays, but shifted to writing books that range from sunshine and light (David Mar-tin) to cold and dark (How To Rape A Straight Guy, which has been banned more than once) to farcical and insane (The Lyons' Den) to mainstream romance (The Alice '65) to a tale of tragedy and redemption (Bobby Carapisi). He has ventured into SF-Horror-Suspense with The Beast in the Nothing Room, done gay revenge in Porno Manifesto and worked up a vicious female revenge thriller in Carli's Kills, then taken Cap-italism to its logical extreme in Hunter. He has also written murder mysteries (Rape in Holding Cell 6, The Vanishing of Owen Taylor, and Underground Guy). He tries to build characters as vivid and real as possible and has a lot of fun doing it mixed with angst, anger, and amaze-ment ... but that's the lot of a writer....
