Résumé : Nini and the Big Tree is the first in a series of books centred on two characters, Koby and Remi. Koby and Remi are best friends who love going on adventures. In Nini and the Big tree, the two boys meet a sad and lonely elephant in the beautiful Ankasa Forest of Ghana. This chance meeting kick starts a wonderful adventure through the forest, where they encounter lots of different animals. Nini and the Big Tree is a great story for early readers and young children. Beautifully illustrated, the book takes the reader on a wonderful tour of one of Ghana's great forests, introducing some local terminology, in a fun and visual way. A glossary of terms is provided at the back of the book to help with pronunciation and understanding of the few non-English words. Parents are provided with some post-reading questions to get their early reader thinking about the themes raised in the story. A great addition to your early reader's collection!
Biographie:
Keji lives and works in London, UK. When she's not co-authoring, she consults and designs youth programs in partnership with companies, to offer development opportunities for young people. She is a director of HUDL youth development agency. Keji is the proud mom of a chatty, imaginative, and charming 6-year-old boy.
