FOSTERING THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD, VOLUME 3: In this volume, Desmond Tomlinson recounts his later adolescent years in Jamaica. He recalls the reasons he was placed in a temporary foster home and the painful circumstances that allowed him to be united with his second foster mother. This account includes his brief reunion with his biological family, including his only brother, whom he thought he would never see or hear from again. During this time, a growing awareness of his own potential to free himself from his past is born along with the beginnings of his academic aspirations.

Biographie:
Desmond Tomlinson, together with his siblings, was raised by his father In Jamaica. As a Rastafarian, the daily life he knew included marijuana, meditation, and chants. Shortly after his seventh birthday, his life was radically transformed when the authorities transferred him to an orphanage and eventually into foster homes. This set a series of events in motion, some tragic, that he recounts in his four-volume memoir. Today, Desmond lives with his family in the United States of America.
