Résumé :
Kate and Jackson live on a cozy farm in Louisiana with their son, Alec. Their quiet routing of chores, games, laundry, and tending to vegetables is turned upside-down when Alec finds the Llorianos, an immigrant family of three hiding in the garden. Kate feels a sudden, strong connection to the Llorianos and insists they stay on the farm. A temporary arrangement quickly becomes permanent, with the two families blending and Alec and Reemus Lloriano becoming best friends. The idyll is abruptly shattered one night at a school Valentine's dance, with an incident of violence that leaves Jackson and the Lloriano parents dead. As the young boys' entire world shatters, it falls to Kate to remain calm and keep strong during the investigation. New information unfolds and a suspect named in the murder, but the trial also raises concerns about Reemus' legal status. The tables turn as Kate is arrested for harboring illegal immigrants, leaving Reemus and Alec alone in the world, waiting for the verdict that could change everything they ever knew. The Julip Trees are always there. Seeing, remembering, and growing. If only they could speak....
Biographie:
My biggest blessing and most wonderful accomplishment is being a mother. I treasure the time I have with my children and will forever be grateful for them. They have taught me the most out of life.
Family is so important and the time that you have is precious and unpromised. Enjoy it and live in the moment....
