The New Testament tells the story of God's sending of his Son, Jesus of Nazareth, who launches the final offensive of a liberation movement we are each recruited to join. This volume of Guerrilla Bible Studies: Basic Training for the Jesus Movement, follows volume 1, Surprising Encounters with God, and volume 2, God's Radical Recruiting-the third in a series of four sequels to Guerrilla Gospel: Reading the Bible for Liberation in the Power of the Spirit. In this collection you will find practical guidelines for facilitating liberating Bible studies, including a new sample study on Philippians 4:4-9. These thirteen Bibl studies have been tried-and-tested in jails, rural communities in the global South, frontline North American and European missional settings and in graduate-level theology schools. Each study focuses on one of Jesus' core teachings for enlistees, who respond to his call to participate in his liberation movement.
