Résumé :
The Demon-child. Taken from his family at five seasons of age and thrust into a life of slavery. His mother was beaten badly and being held down on the ground by Outlanders. He is forced to grow up fast, forced to defend himself and forced to deal with his growing anger and swirling emotions. Then, as if his life was not hard enough, he is thrown into the pit to fight for his life time and time again. A story of one slave's life from child to manhood, the friends he makes along the way and the journey he finds himself on. A journey he never asked for but is undertaking none the less. A journey that will see him dead if he is not careful. A journey that has no happy ending! Or does it?
Biographie:
Author of 'Slave Boy', the first book in the Democ'Chu Series, Nath always had a huge imagination. As a small child he was known as the storyteller. He started writing short stories in his early twenties as a way to get his feelings and ideas onto paper. Life, as it sometimes does, took him down another path away from his creative side and he spent the majority of his life managing bars, hotels and restaurants. In his late thirties he started stand-up comedy and found this a good outlet for his stories and imagination, enjoying his time on stage and entertaining people. However, when New Zealand went into isolation holiday (Lockdown) for Covid-19 and he was meant to be writing his first hour-long comedy show, he got side-tracked and wrote the first draft of 'Slave Boy' instead. He found he had missed his storytelling and found a new love of world-building - which he had been doing his entire life in his head without realising it. He found drive and focus in his life that had been missing for a very long time. Share the journey with Nath, and get just as lost in reading the story as he got writing it.
