While the whole world was plunged into a pandemic shut down, a retired educator from Texas used this historic period as an opportunity to capture his thoughts, connect some dots, and try to make some sense of it all. Eat the Pie is a collection of poems, essays and reflective thoughts capturing some humor and humanity amidst the dystopian backdrop of COVID-19.
Biographie:
Dan Manning is a retired educator who isn't tired and doesn't sit in rocking chairs. A former teacher, principal and superintendent who enjoys his family and friends (now more than ever), plays the drums every day to stay sane, and has walked about 500 miles since the pandemic started, all while listening to some great tunes. Dan is a native Texan living with his beautiful Ohio bride, Becky. They really dig each other, their grown children and grandchildren.
