TACHYON is an intense and raw expression of life and love by the US National Beat Poet Laureate Emeritus, William F. DeVault, also dubbed the Romantic Poet of the Internet. From the opening poem, a tribute to his late brother, to his romantic and seductive verses of love and admiration, the poet delivers powerful words and images to communicate at both a visceral and a spiritual level.
Biographie:
William F. DeVault has, in his creative run (so far) amassed tens of thousands of poems (and those are just the ones that passed his first reading). He has authored 25+ books, received his unfair share of sobriquets, and performed his poetry all over the continental United States and throughout cyberspace. He has read in churches, bars, parks, schools, libraries, and brothels. Married twice, divorced twice, but still the romantic optimist, he has fathered three children in whom he is well pleased, and mentored dozens of poets. He founded and facilitated the Romantic and Erotic Poetry Group for America Online, and that service's Passionate Craft poetry workshop, and been facilitator for Authors in Conversation for the Bronx Book Fair.He was named the Romantic Poet of the Internet by Yahoo in 1996 and the US National Beat Poet Laureate by the National Beat Poetry Foundation for 2017-2018. Some consider him the Poet Laureate of the Internet for his presence and pioneering use of the internet during and even before the mid-1990's. He is a founding member in the Rolling Stock Poets reading group.
