Biographie:
Nguyen Van Hanh, Ph.D., came to the United States for college education, returned to Vietnam to fight in the war, and became the leading official responsible for America's refugee programs in California and later in Washington during most of recent decades. As Director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement 2001-2006, his personal commitments to the national humanitarian endeavor, in-depth discussions on U.S. policies and programs, and active working relationships with State and private sector agencies have fostered our national tradition to assist millions of newcomers to become contributing members of the American society.
