      • Résumé :
It has now been five years since Peruvian Intelligence Officer, Colonel Hern?n Moreno and his faithful sergeant and friend, Garcia had escaped from the fortified hacienda of San Rafael, an army Supply Depot in the mountains of Ecuador. Now, Moreno receives a mysterious coded letter asking them to return to San Rafael to solve its secret and ensure the stability of both Ecuador and Peru. Where is the place with 'a view of the lake'? What is the meaning of the Bible passage? Who is the mysterious Jesuit, Father Xavier? Along the way they hear many stories and myths so come, now! Return to San Rafael and learn its secret. Return to San Rafael is the sequel to Letters from San Rafael also published by Felix Publishing. Letters from San Rafael was a collection of letters covering the stories of history and culture of South America woven through a story of capture and intrigue, The Return to San Rafael sees the main protagonists meet up again to solve a mystery to hopefully stop abuse of power and political intrigue. Stories of culture and history are explained on the way as the friends catch up after 5 years away. Respectful of culture whilst maintaining the action and intrigue. You will not want to put this down. It is a well-researched, culturally and historically accurate work of fiction. Even the author is fictitious.

        Biographie:
Dr. Peter Terrence Scott (using the non de plume of Hern?n Moreno Ruiz) has many similarities to his fictional hero. Raised and educated in Sydney, Australia, then graduating as a Science Teacher he had a successful career of over forty years in high schools and universities. Studying at various universities part time, he achieved a Bachelor of Science, Masters Degrees in Science (Geology) and Educational Administration and a Doctorate in Education. He, too, volunteered for the Army Reserve in support of his friends who had been conscripted during the Vietnam War and was commissioned into the infantry. After retiring from teaching he has visited all seven continents including South America several times. Here he and his wife travelled extensively visiting, his daughter-in-law's family in the high Andes and also many of the places mentioned in this book. He now lives in Brisbane, Australia with his wife and their sons and families and their grandchildren. He is the author of over twenty books on Earth Science, Environmental Science and several works of fiction.
