Résumé :
Although the design of waterflood facilities clearly lies within the realm of the engineering function, it is vitally important that there is an integration with staff from all relevant disciplines so that the facility meets project requirements for the full life cycle of the field. The subsurface and surface systems are intrinsically interlinked, and it must not be forgotten that the installed facility must be operable, so it is critical to involve the operations function throughout the design process. Waterflooding Facilities and Operations looks at the design of injection and production systems in a waterflood context and the various pieces of equipment that might feature in the designs, how they interface with the required chemical-injection programs, and how they are operated.
Biographie:
Dave Chappell has spent his career working on waterflood developments and operations in Brunei, Oman, Thailand, and Australia. In 2003 he became one of the founding members of Shell's central waterflood team tasked with improving waterflood performance across the entire Shell waterflood portfolio, based in The Hague, The Netherlands. He went on to manage that group from 2008 until his retirement in 2018. Since then he has worked as an independent consultant in the waterflooding arena.
