A traumatic brain injury from a snowboarding accident drastically changed Matt Collura's life. For weeks he was in a coma. A three-sport captain in high school and former avid runner, over the past ten years his discipline and determination have driven his remarkable recovery. Far surpassing many doctors' predictions, he is now able to walk and to speak. After his accident, Matt could only communicate through his keyboard, so he started to chronicle his recovery on his online blog, making daily entries that included his deepest thoughts on life's challenges from his unique perspective. The present volume is an anthology of his best blog entries, containing thoughts and ideas that will move you to tears and to laughter. Hopefully you will feel inspired to face your life challenges as Matt has - with humor, wisdom, strength, and dignity, and in spite of all of the odds, rise above them.
Biographie:
On March 9th, 2011, Matt Collura suffered a traumatic brain injury in a snowboarding accident and was in a coma for weeks. Until 2011, he was an avid runner. A three-sport captain in high school, Matt graduated with a degree in biochemistry from Boston College and a master's in architecture from NJIT. Doctors predicted that even if he regained consciousness, he would never walk again. Since he regained consciousness, he has regularly been proving them wrong. One day, he plans to run again.
