The author, family law attorney Kelly Chang Rickert, and illustrator Tanya Campbell encourage separating parents to read the book to their child. Two Adventures helps start the dialogue at home, and can be used as a road map for the family's journey. Certified Family Law Specialist Kelly Chang Rickert has exclusively handled prenuptial agreements and family law cases for 22+ years. Kelly routinely appears as a legal expert on television/radio to comment on family law issues in celebrity divorce and custody cases. During COVID-19, Kelly founded Quarantine Publications and began publishing children's books about divorce. Her first book, Two Adventures With Mom and Dad, helps parents explain the concepts of separation and divorce. Her second book, Hope's Broken Snow Globe tackles the topic of holidays and emotions. Both were Amazon #1 best-sellers. Kelly volunteers as a Judge Pro Tem in family law courts. She is a prayer warrior. Tanya is a concept artist working in television and film, as well as a freelance illustrator for comics and children's books. Author Kelly Chang Rickert is a Christian family law attorney in Los Angeles. For over 22 years, she has exclusively handled divorce and paternity cases involving custody and complex property issues. Kelly strongly discourages scorched earth litigation. Whenever possible, collaborative solutions like mediation should be explored. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys nagging her husband, embarrassing her daughters (typical Taiwanese mother) and solitary hikes in Griffith Park.
