The early years in a child's life are one of rapid growth and development. During these years parents, educators and caregivers can help children develop self eastern and confidence by nurturing their fixed or growth mindset. The way we react to children's failures and accomplishments shapes their mindset. When children are praised for their efforts and taught to take ownership of failure to learn that failure is an essential part of learning, they grow to take risks, challenge themselves and enjoy the learning process. This in turn builds confidence, resilience and self esteem.The Learning Steps is a book with six short stories that describe different challenges the characters face and how they overcome these obstacles by changing their mindset. The characters used in this book are young animals that children can relate to and help them engage with.
