Mrugaya is the Central Sahitya Academy award-winning (2009) poetry collection from the eminent Odia poet Dr. Phani Mohanty. The collection has 29 powerful poems including the title poem Mrugaya.
Biographie:
Phani Mohanty was born on January 25, 1944 in Khurda district of Odisha. He taught philosophy in different government colleges of Odisha till his superannuation as DDPI. With more than sixteen poetry collections to his credit, he is one of the most famous and popular among his generation of Odia poets. Among many awards, he has received Sahitya Akademi award for the poetry collection Mrugaya and Odisha Sahitya Akademi award for the poetry collection Visadayaoga.
