KATY'S BOW is a whimsical story about how one thing can lead to something big, when Katy puts a bow on a neighbor's cat, Queenie. Queenie is soon chased by a dog and climbs a tree, which leads to the neighbors, firefighters, police, and news reporters coming out in force to try to rescue poor Queenie. And all this chaos started with a simple little bow.

Scott is active in a number of community and business groups, including the Lafayette and Danville Chambers of Commerce. She is a graduate of the prestigious Leadership in Contra Costa County program and is a member of a BNI group in Walnut Creek, B2B groups in Danville and Walnut Creek, and Lafayette Savvy Women. She is the organizer of six Meetup groups in the film and publishing industries with over 6000 members in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. She also does workshops and seminars on the topics of her books.
She received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and her J.D. from the University of San Francisco Law School. She has received five MAs at Cal State, East Bay, including most recently an MA in Communications in 2017.
