Résumé :
Over 60% of Americans have no financial reserves, no emergency funds and inadequate retirement goals. We have failed to teach our young people even the very basics of money management. Journeys with Max takes a young man and his family to new levels of financial literacy through practical and realistic exercises using inner-active educational techniques that every family can utilize with ease and transparency. The lessons that Max learns are designed to be fun and challenging, but also the basis for a lifetime of financial rewards.
Biographie:
The author grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and attended The Johns Hopkins University, graduating with a degree in Industrial Management. Following corporate management level assignments in New York, Germany and Dallas, he founded The Circle R Ranch Inc., a convention, conference and corporate recreation facility near Dallas, Texas. As Co-Founder of the Dallas inner city Foundation, Love for Kids, Inc. and Founder of The Powdermaker Foundation, now serving as Executive Director, Powdermaker was a Dallas recipient of the national Entrepreneur of The Year Award as well as the Distinguished Alumni Heritage Award from The Johns Hopkins University. A contributor to small business financial health services, Powdermaker is an accomplished speaker and recipient of numerous awards and presentations. His guiding passion is to encourage all state secondary schools in the United States to mandate Financial Literacy courses as a requirement for graduation. The author currently resides in Georgetown, TX.
