For the last 23 years, Ricardo has been focusing on researching and promoting Distributed Leadership as a way of transforming modern organisations into competitive and sustainable working places and as a catalyst to develop talent and the well-being of professionals. As a professor, he aims to spread this vision to the younger generation. As a researcher, he is committed to scientific rigour. As a consultant, he works to transform firms at the individual, team and organisational levels. As a person, he dreams of contributing to society. Ricardo specialises in Distributed Leadership, which is considered to be a set of spontaneous and interconnected collective initiatives. Distributed Leadership relates to talent, team effectiveness and self-coordination and applies to the agile world, liquid organisations, and shared leadership.
