Résumé :
Due to globalization and the competition faced from Asian countries, there is an emergent need to investigate how to extend the limited capabilities of developing countries in order to survive in domestic market as well as reach global market. Developing countries play an important role as OEM units to provide global markets with under-brand names. Many difficulties face the industrial zones in these countries in their attempt to reach this target and prevent them from providing their own brands. For instance, industrial sectors in Egypt are outperformed by Chinese competition and have even lost their domestic market share. The main objective of this book is to investigate the deficiencies experienced by industrial firms in developing countries trying to reach global markets and maintain their domestic market share. Empirical study and simulation techniques were conducted to indicate current deficiencies and propose solutions. An enhanced design of Sterman Beer game was proposed to simulate existing deficiencies of supply chain activities in developing countries and propose solutions there....
Biographie:
Nermin holds a PhD degree in Engineering & Information Science from Middlesex University, UK. She is working as Assistant Professor & SAP Certified Business Associate in AAST, Egypt. She is specialized in the field of E-business and Supply Chain Management. She had an excellent record of publications in such fields....
