In Educating for Social Justice: Field Notes from Rural Communities, educators from across the United States offer their experiences engaging in rural, place-based social justice education. With education settings ranging from university campuses in Georgia to small villages in New Mexico, each chapter details the stories of teaching and learning within the often-overlooked rural areas of the United States.

Biographie:
Rebekah A. Cordova, Ph.D. (2014), is currently an instructor at the University of Florida, where she teaches cultural and historical foundations courses to pre- and in-service educators. She is also the Director of the All Y'all Social Justice Collective, an organization which provides racial justice professional development experiences for teachers in the Southern region of the United States. Her research interests focus on rural education experiences, history of schooling, and community education.
William M. Reynolds, Ed.D. (1986), University of Rochester, teaches at Georgia Southern University. He has authored, co-edited and co-authored several books, most recently Forgotten Places: Critical Studies in Rural Education (Peter Lang, 2017).
