Das Pauluswort ?Wir sind Narren um Christi willen? hat Menschen immer wieder dazu gef?hrt, sich den gesellschaftlichen Konventionen radikal zu verweigern, sich einf?ltig, rebellisch, gar ?idiotisch? zu geben. Diese - vielen Christen fremde - Form der Fr?mmigkeit (Askese) spielt in der Russisch-Orthodoxen Kirche bis heute eine gro?e Rolle. In biographischen, literarischen und theologischen Begegnungen mit den ?Jurodivye?, den ?Narren um Christi willen? wurde w?hrend der Fachtagung 2016 von Kirche im Osten das Verstehen der Orthodoxie vertieft. Alle Ergebnisse liegen nun in ansprechender Form vor. [Fools in Christo. On the Unorthodox in Orthodoxy] The words of St. Paul: We are fools for Christ's sake, has lead people time and again to refuse radically social conventions and to behave themselves as simpletons, rebels or even idiots. This form of piety (ascetism) - strange for many Christians - plays an important role in the Russian Orthodox Church up to this day. Biographical, literary and theological encounters with the ?Jurodivye?, the fools for Christ's sake, in the course of a conference of the organisation ?Church in the East? in 2016, helped promote a better understanding of Orthodoxy.
