My intent for this book is a step by step of how I currently do queen breeding and queen rearing. This method is the one I find most reliable in getting cells started, finished and mated. This is not to say that other methods don't work. A lot of what works and doesn't, has to do with circumstances. If there is a flow, you don't seem to be able to do anything wrong. If there is a dearth, things become quite difficult and sometimes you don't seem to be able to do anything right. The reason I do this method is that it has the most success, in my experience, under adverse conditions as well as good conditions and from Spring until Fall....

Michael Bush ? um dos principais proponentes da apicultura sem tratamentos. Ele tem tido um conjunto ecl?tico de carreiras profissionais desde a impress?o e artes gr?ficas, constru??o, programa??o de computadores e mais algumas pelo meio. Neste momento ele trabalha com computadores. Ele tem mantido abelhas desde o meio dos anos 70, usualmente desde duas a sete colmeias at? o ano 2000. A Varroa for?ou uma maior experimenta??o que necessitou de mais colmeias e o n?mero de colmeias cresceu de forma cont?nua ao longo dos anos. Em 2008 ele tinha cerca de 200 colmeias. Ele est? ativo em muitos dos f?runs de Apicultura na internet, na ?ltima contagem ele tinha cerca de 60000 mensagens entre eles todos.
