The Very Word, by Barry Clegg, is his third book of poetry. This combination of freshness and tension results in poetry rich in tenderness, surprise, and humour. A Professional Engineer with an MA from Cambridge University and an MSc from Aston University, Barry Clegg worked as an engineer in England before moving to Toronto in 1969. For over 30 years a software developer and IT manager, he now works as a communications consultant. With this book Barry completes his trilogy of poetry, comprising A Rare Spectacle (2010), Beginning of Time (2013), and now, The Very Word (2020).
Biographie:
A Professional Engineer with an MA from Cambridge University and an MSc from Aston University, Barry Clegg worked as an engineer in England before moving to Toronto in 1969. For over 30 years he was a software developer, IT manager, and communications consultant, writing technical documentation, newsletters, conference papers, speeches, web content, and skits. With this book Barry completes his trilogy of poetry, comprising A Rare Spectacle (2010), The Beginning of Time (2013), and now, The Very Word (2020).
