Résumé :
Legends chronicle Robin Hood and Guy de Gisbourne as the deadliest of enemies. The reality is… complicated. Home razed by Church edict, loved ones struck down by treachery, Rob is left for dead. Taken by the old druid master into the deeps, he emerges with a new name and purpose: leader of a band of tight-knit outcasts, claiming the ancient forest and wielding the Horned God's vengeance with silent, deadly arrows. Also escaping the aftermath of Loxley's destruction, Gamelyn has returned from Crusade with his own new identity and purpose-but no absolution. When the two boyhood lovers next cross paths, a brutal, blindfolded game of foxes and hounds begins, one pitting Templar assassin against Heathen outlaw. And as Robyn discovers his sister Marion is still alive, the game turns. Thwarted kings of a breaking realm, Robin Hood and Guy de Gisbourne must restore the Maiden to her rightful place-and manage to not destroy each other in the process.
Biographie:
J TULLOS HENNIG has always possessed inveterate fascination in the myths and histories of other worlds and times. Despite having maintained a few professions in this world-equestrian, dancer, teacher, artist-she has never successfully managed to not be a storyteller. Ever.
Given a heritage of forest-dwelling peoples-Choctaw, Chickasaw, and Scots-Irish-the decision to make a home base in NW Washington State with the Amazing Spouse was a no-brainer. They live alongside a pair of equine freeloaders on retirement pensions, a wolfhound who alternates between leaping over the sofa and snoozing on it, and a press gang of invisible 'friends' Who Will Not Be Silenced.
Active in conventions and genre literature in the 70s/80s/90s, Jeanine returned to the authorial fold in 2011 with the publication of an award-winning series of historical fantasy novels, and was awarded the Speculative Literature Foundation's juried Older Writers Grant. Her latest work, the award-winning Books of the Wode, is a truly innovative re-imagining of the Robin Hood legends, giving especial emphasis and reality to both pagan and queer perspectives.
The finale of the series is due to release mid-2020.
