Life can be challenging at times, and unpredictable, with ups and downs and all sorts of things we can't control. It's like driving a car on a bumpy road. We can't wish the bumps away. We can't control who travels those roads with us, or make the sun shine on our journey if it's a rainy day. But we can control how we feel about it. We can let it make us angry or sad or scared, or we can stay calm, accept the challenges, and make good decisions. That's what this story is all about. Biographie:
A graduate of Ryerson University's Child and Youth Care Program, Stephanie Scott has been working with children, youth and adults with complex needs and mental health challenges in various settings for over a decade. She has found inspiration in their unique journeys. She hopes to provide an outlet for others to gain awareness, communicate their needs, learn coping tools, and obtain skills that fosters positive change and healthy development through her published children's books. Stephanie's award-winning debut children's book Buckle Up: A Children's Imaginary Journey about Self-Control is the first in her collection that promotes social-emotional learning. When she is not working, she enjoys writing and creating resources, travelling, listening to music, and organizing! She also loves spending time with family and friends who bring light, love, and humour into her life. She currently resides in Southwestern Ontario, where she continues to pursue her goals in the child and youth care field.

When she is not working, she enjoys meditating, the outdoors, writing, and listening to music.
