    • Résumé :
Sometimes life throws you a curveball when everything you planned for or hoped for suddenly changes. Maybe you didn't get the promotion you deserved, or you found out that the boyfriend or girlfriend of your dreams was really a nightmare, or you experienced the loss of a loved one. In those moments, you have to decide to shift. Shift your perspective to the things that really matter. Shift your focus from the trivial and mundane to joy and a higher purpose. Shift from matters of the temporal to an emphasis on the eternal. Shift from fear to faith, from products to people, and from money to meaning. In Shift: A Playbook for Positive Change, author Douglas M. Williams, Jr. shows you how to live in the moment by letting go of the past, not worrying about the future, and embracing the present. Combining humor, reflection, and practical exercises, Doug shows you how to: • Major in the majors • Thrive in a team setting • Improve your active listening • Recognize key mental models • Negotiate for a win-win solution • Recover from failure and setbacks • Find the best intentions in people • Keep your joy through difficult times • Find opportunity where you only see obstacles • Get comfortable with the uncomfortability of life A great gift for the recent graduate, mid-career professional, or the usually vibrant executive stuck in a slump, Shift: A Playbook for Positive Change will help you recalibrate your priorities and live life with more passion.
