This book examines the gender context of HIV and critiques the global policy response. Anderson contributes to the feminist task of de-invisibilising gender as structural violence and identifies how gendered power structures are responded to at the local level in Malawi.
Biographie: Dr Emma-Louise Anderson is a Lecturer in International Development with Research Methods in the School of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) at the University of Leeds, UK. She is a part of the Leeds University Centre for African Studies (LUCAS) and the Centre for Global Development (CDG).
