Historical Writer - Angela Puryear-McDuffie is an entrepreneur who was raised in Southeast Washington, DC, at the bottom of Alabama Avenue, an area we call Simple City. She wants stories told by people who loved them, told by the people who know them. Angela's cake business, Beloveds Cakes, Treats & Savory, is in honor of her grandmother, who gave the divine inspiration to record those stories.
Fiction Writer - Cynthia Freeman Gibbs moved up the corporate ladder from being a pharmaceutical representative to a professional development trainer, business manager, and then an account executive. After layoffs in 2015, she wrote her first fictional novel titled Reasonable Insanity: A Doctor Olivia C. Maxwell Novel. Journalist - Joy Jones is a native of Washington, DC who loves the written and the spoken word. Her book that has gotten the most attention is a children's picture book titled Tambourine Moon.
