One of the life lesson poems included in this collection, Choose Your Words Wisely, earned the author an Editor's Choice Award given by poetry. com and the International Library of Poetry for its unique perspective and original creativity.

Author Barbara Pierce began writing books for young people after retiring from teaching elementary school. She has published many, most of which are fiction. They cover a wide genre of subjects and reading levels. The author says writing books for children and the young at heart was a dream of hers during childhood.
