Biographie:

Jenny Pieratt, Ph.D. is a Progressive Educator and Teacherpreneur. ?She was a founding staff member at High Tech High North County, a former School Development Coach at New Tech Network, and National Faculty at BIE. ?In 2016 Jenny became the Founder and President of CraftED - a leading voice for the mainstream wave of PBL implementation, through virtual and onsite professional development and coaching, active networking, and practitioner-based publications. With a PhD in educational philosophy, specifically PBL, Jenny prides herself on staying in the trenches with teachers and advocating for teacher support to bring HQPBL to classrooms across the U.S. Jenny is an active blogger and speaker, former teacher of grades 5-10, equity advocate, and proud small business owner. Jenny resides in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA with her husband and two children.

Jennifer Pieratt was a classroom teacher for nine years.?She taught grades 5-10 in San Diego, CA. She?was a founding staff member of High Tech High North County and taught 9th and 10th grade humanities for five years there.?Jennifer went on to work with schools, districts, and CMOs across the country as a School Development Coach for New Tech Network for the following three years. She also currently serves as a member of BIE's National Faculty. In?her time working within the Deeper Learning Network?she has helped teachers implement engaging teaching practices directly in schools that?she coached in CA, NM, AZ and TX, through various national training events for teachers and leaders from over 27 states, and Professional Development for teacher leaders in Australia and teachers in Canada and Mexico.

Jennifer is a proud graduate of San Diego State University and the Claremont Colleges.?She hold a BA in Political Studies, a Master's in Cross-Cultural Education, and CA teaching credentials in Multiple Subjects, ELA and Social Science.?Her doctoral research was an incredible experience that introduced?Jennifer to?her love of philosophy. During?the five years at CGU?she studied pedagogical works of great minds and ultimately applied this knowledge in a case study that analyzed teacher-student relationships, specifically collegial pedagogy in Project Based Learning.?Jennifer founded CraftED Curriculum in early 2016 and has had her touch on every element of building the brand and company to date.?She live in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA.
