Most new college and university administrators, especially if they come directly from the faculty ranks or from outside academia, receive little if any training. Biographie: Daniel Grassian is the vice provost for academic programs and a professor of English at California State University, Chico. He is the author of four books, including Writing the Future of Black America: Literature of the Hip-Hop Generation and Hybrid Fictions: American Literature and Generation X.
