Barbara Blackmon has always had a passion for writing. She believes with all of her heart that the seemingly impossible is indeed possible. With God on her side, she is turning her dream of becoming a writer into a reality. She was given up at the age of 8 months. Her oldest sister, Lelia Ann Griffin, raised her until she was 1 year old then placed in a foster home. At the age of 6, she was adopted by Monroe and Willie Blackmon of St. Louis, MO. Barbara's first book A New Beginning is a dream that has been fulfilled and has open up many doors for her to embark upon. Barbara delights in worshipping and praising her Lord; she is a faithful member of Inspiring Body of Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Rickie Rush of Dallas, TX. He relationship to her God has helped her go through coutless hardships; and surviving adversities has made her stronger and more determined to succeed and not give up on her dreams. And in Barbara's case, she also has a heart to help the hurting. Her compassionate spirit compels her to reach out and encourage others to press on -NO MATTER WHAT!
