Arson detective Norm Strom is always one step behind a serial arsonist who is responsible for torching several buildings in the city. He tracks down known arsonist Johnny Eagle and turns him into his informant, hoping to use one torch to catch another. Eagle tells all, revealing the pleasure and satisfaction that he gets from setting and watching a raging inferno. Detective Strom relies on Eagle and his other informants to help him discover the true identity of the serial arsonist. To keep the cops off his back, Johnny Eagle rats on his own friends. Is he playing with fire on both sides of the fence? Biographie:
Edmond Gagnon grew up in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He joined the Windsor Police Department in 1977, a month before his nineteenth birthday. After thirteen years working the street in uniform, Ed transferred to Drug Enforcement and then Street Crimes. After being promoted to Sergeant and Detective, he stayed in plain clothes, investigating everything from theft and burglary to arson and murder. He retired with a total of thirty-one years and four months of service.Within weeks of retirement, Ed took to travelling the world, visiting countries in Southeast Asia and South America as well as riding his motorcycle all over Canada and the United States. A collection of his travel email stories became his first book, A Casual Traveler. Ed went on to create his Norm Strom Crime Series, inspired by events and people he encountered during his years in law enforcement. He then wrote a spin-off , the Abigail Brown Crime Series. .Edmond Gagnon continues to write, adding the science fiction thriller, Four, to his collection of novels. Edmond Gagnon grew up in Windsor, Ontario, and joined the Windsor Police Department in 1977. Starting as a Cadet, Ed was later promoted to Constable in the Uniform Division and walked a beat in downtown Windsor. He spent the next thirteen years working the street as a patrol officer. Eventually, Ed was transferred to plain clothes where he worked in narcotics, vice, property crime, fraud and arson. Promoted to Sergeant and then Detective, Ed investigated everything from theft and burglary to arson and murder. He retired after accumulating thirty-one years and four months of service.Within weeks of retirement, Ed took to travelling the world, visiting exotic places in Southeast Asia and South America. He also did motorcycle trips all over Canada and the United States. Recipients of his travel email suggested he write a book. Thus, Edmond Gagnon's first, A Casual Traveler, was written. Following the success of that book, Ed decided to share his police stories. Inspired by events personally experienced and people he met during his career, Edmond Gagnon started the Norm Strom Crime Series with his next book, Rat. There are many more stories to tell so he continued his crime series with Bloody Friday, Torch, and Finding Hope, Trafficking Chen and Quicksand. After introducing a Detroit Homicide investigator in Border City Chronicles, Ed started the Abigail Brown Crime Series. Moon Mask - the sequel to Finding Hope, and The Millionaire Murders are included. Most of the stories originated in the cities of Windsor and Detroit.
