This year has been a very busy one for many of the poets of The Gloucestershire Poetry Society with many having their work published in journals, anthologies and collections. This feels fitting as the theme of our poetry this year has been 'magic' and it certainly feels that we have been under a spell. I personally have heard the comments regarding our continued efforts to promote poetry for all. The work herein is a collection of poems collated from a pool of poets of all levels and backgrounds. A collection I hope you enjoy, as much as the poets themselves as they crafted their work, Yours in the art, Z D Dicks

Biographie:
The essence of living is to enjoy each moment unchained to the past with no concern for the future. It is not that you negate the past or never plan for the future but there are times when you should abandon yourself to the moment. - I am like a Sybarite - my brain is hard-wired into my sensory perceptions. Each touch of my fingers on the soft flesh of my love, brings exquisite pleasure. The thrill of texture and smoothness; of moisture and movement - to caress, to be caressed, is happiness beyond compare. - This is my heaven and I want no more - immortality does not attract or concern me for I can't conceive of an existence without my body; without its senses, without taste, without art, music and love, and the perfumes of life and the richness derived from them. I would like to dedicate this book to all who have inspired the writing of these poems.
