Max learns to deal with the obstacles life throws his way with amazing courage and grace. Elsa must defeat a cancer that in 1960, has no real cure. The converging narratives of a Jewish boy and a Hispanic girl, will remind us how society's different walks of life are united by our humanity and our ability to share hope and strength when confronted by life's often unfair challenges. From the 1930's through today, Room 203C will take you on journey that is alternately heartbreaking and inspiring.

Biographie:
My books are promises kept to my wonderful daughter, Marisa, who lost a long battle to pediatric cancer. We were supposed to create a great fantasy novel after she graduated from Duke University but death intervened. We still created the Portals series together... just in a different way. After a great career as a teacher and a nurse, I am now a full time writer sharing life with my beautiful partner Bobbi and a very articulate dog named Buster. We can be found in a portal somewhere in upstate New York. A portion of all sales are donated to The Marisa Fund. This charity works tirelessly to find a cure for pediatric cancer and to support children with cancer and those who love them. You can get more information at Marisafund.org.
