Based on true events this page turning romantic adventure novel follows Welsh surfer, Rhys Evans, who travels to Sri Lanka to try and escape the memory of his girlfriend's infidelity. When there, among other adventures, Rhys is attacked by wild dogs, held at gunpoint by battle-hardened guerrillas and endures jungle surgery without anaesthetic. Then, as if this isn't enough, things get a whole lot worse when Rhys' girlfriend pursues him to rekindle their love and they are unwittingly drawn into Sri Lanka's corrupt and frightening underworld to face a thirty-year jail sentence at the Island's most notorious prison. An easy to read fast-paced adventure story about a young person's wild exploits in the tropics....
Biographie:
Mark Probert grew up in the infamous Welsh surfing village of Mumbles on the Gower peninsula. Mark began surfing at the age of twelve and could then only dream of surfing waves like those splashed up on the makeshift screen during surf club movie nights. Then, during the eighties, having finished his studies, Mark decided to travel to Asia to discover these waves for himself. He spent much of this time in Sri Lanka and on the mystical islands of Indonesia. Mark now works as a teacher and lives with his family in the wine producing Swan Valley in Western Australia. Mark still surfs whenever he can.
