Présentation Bragging Rights Format Broché
- Livre Sciences de la vie et de la terre
Résumé :
God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ is the way Paul concluded his letter to the Galatians, maintaining that putting the Christian under the Law or human effort to attain God's approval or righteousness is a negation, not just a relegation of faith in Christ. He saw it as a matter of eternal consequences and was unapologetic in his rebuke of them. We brag only on the Cross of Calvary: not on our efforts, not on our tithing, not on our activities or performance. We do not lay claim to anything other than the finished work of our Lord knowing that depending on our own work and efforts is falling from grace. This book aims to be reenactment enough of Paul's Spirit-led apoplexy to remind the Christian that he is the Israel of God, that the Promise to Abraham was in Christ, Christ the end of the Law. We stand justified only by faith, Abraham a paradigm, natural Israel but a parable illustrating the failure of the Law and the futility of human effort to attain God's righteousness.
