Without a decision to change, personal growth can be hard. It can even seem impossible. No matter what area of life you want to work on (relationships, physical health, job, career, spirituality,) very little will happen unless you decide--I mean really decide--to change. A decision helps to shield the mind from our limiting stories, fictions we whisper to ourselves and come to believe in. I'm not smart enough, we may say. I don't have time. I'm too busy. The list goes on. We all indulge in these stories. The problem lies in our not recognizing it. Led along blindly, we keep ourselves stuck. We keep ourselves small. A firm decision to change dulls the power of these stories and loosens their grip on the mind. Once we realize that we have decided to believe the story, we can decide to believe something empowering instead. Happily, we always have a choice. There are as many limiting stories out there as there are human beings. In this book, we go through fifteen of the most common, discussing why each one is not true and identifying empowering statements you could choose to believe instead. Also, we highlight different ways you can act on these empowering statements and the benefits of doing it. The rewards can be substantial; you can transform yourself radically and set yourself on the path to a completely different life. First, though, have you made a decision?
