Biographie:
A Lebanese born immigrant to the United States poet and author, Kahlil Gibran became internationally known as one of the top best-selling poets of all time writing his works in English. His interest in art, inspired by Leonard DaVinci, is captured in the many drawings that are present within his poetic works. Gibran's strong foundation in his cultural roots is evident throughout his prose as he weaves social issues, human freedoms, and the mysteries of life into all his art forms. Strong themes of love, life, sorrow, and pain established Gibran as a literary figure in the early 1900s.
