Présentation Vincent And Victoria de Rob Cardwell Format Broché
- Livre
Résumé : Vincent and Victoria are vines climbing different sides of an abandoned cottage in the woods. One is on the sunny side, the other in the shadows. Together they learn that their goal is the same and they help each other achieve that goal, which is to climb on to the roof and head to the top, while following the sun. This is a picture book that stresses the positive goal of cooperation and friendship.
Biographie:
I grew up in Sharpsville, a small steel town in western PA. I attended the Univ. of Pittsburgh where I double majored in biology and psychology, then went on to dental school at Temple Univ. After graduating dental school I entered the Public Health Service and helped set up a dental clinic in Elizabeth, W. VA., a beautiful little town that reminded me of Mayberry. Lastly, I entered into dental practice with Dr. Nelson Robbins in Ocean City, NJ where I practiced for 36 years. I have been writing and illustrating picture books for 30 years. My favorite authors are Chris Van Allsberg and Maurice Sendak. Their stories are both creative and original. This is something that I believe I accomplish rather than telling the same stories over and over. Having read a number of picture books to my own children I also keep in mind the parent or adult who is reading the book with their child and one of my hopes is that the text and illustrations are as engaging for the adult as they are for the child....
