A devotee of ancient literature and patron of education and the arts, Cosimo brought peace, reforms, and prosperity to the Republic, defining Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance.
The Medici dynasty would last for centuries and without its support and keen eye for greatness, many artists and scientists-including Da Vinci, Brunelleschi, Michelangelo, and Galileo-may have never been given their own opportunities to change the world.
Biographie:
Francesco Massaccesi (Pescara, 1985) is an Italian screenwriter. A committed scholar of world cinema, he has authored and collaborated on several Italian and international magazines and books, as well as having worked in different fields of the film industry. An avid reader and researcher, his interest in history spans from antiquity to contemporaneity.
