Biographie:
Charlotte Bront? (1816-1855) was an English writer and the eldest of the Bront? sisters. Writing under the male pseudonym of Currer Bell, she published a book of poetry with her sisters, Emily and Anne, in 1846. Her first published novel 'Jane Eyre' (1847) is a widely celebrated classic of English literature and features themes of early feminism. Her following two novels were also highly successful and remain popular today.

Despite personal grief, including the loss of her siblings, Charlotte continued to write, producing notable works such as Shirley and Villette.In 1854, Charlotte married Arthur Bell Nicholls, but her life was tragically cut short the following year at the age of 38, likely due to complications from pregnancy.
