Résumé :
Once an amusing extrovert with a reputation as a prankster, Mr. Rosen is entering his senior years as a stoic, thirty-year converted introvert who hates change, has little to no interest in people and is more than content to have his wife sit in the navigator's seat of his life. Since becoming a practicing introvert, there have been almost no changes in his life, and for the few that there were, his wife had walked him through them, including the recent move to a much smaller home in a lower/middle-class neighborhood where he lives next to a racist whose pint-sized son addresses him as Mr. Jew.
Mr. Rosen had seen the move coming, and he is very much aware of the enormous change to come sometime in the, hopefully, far-off future; though, he refuses to give it any attention. That painful change will force him to chart his own life's route.
Taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, this heartwarming, feel-good novel offers a roller coaster ride of emotion as Mr. Rosen's habitual world begins to implode while on a collision course with the chaotic world of an innocent child, its troubled mother, and vengeful father.
ABOUT THE SERIES
Taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the series follows the sometimes amusing, sometimes heartbreaking and sometimes terrifying events that follow an introverted old Jewish man's retirement as he reluctantly befriends a young and struggling single mother, her naive and lonely son, and lastly, a boy streetwise beyond his years.
?I don't usually enjoy books in a series but this was an exception. It was uplifting, and interesting with some twists I didn't see coming...It wasn't all sweet and goody two shoes either. It had some dark and realistic moments and characters. Very well written. -(Amazon Customer)

Biographie:
Being a writer of short stories of various genres, Michael Kroft's initial story of Mr. Rosen and His 43Lb Anxiety started out as a simple short story, but because of his love for the characters, the work grew into a novel.
With his newfound interest in writing novels, Michael turned his first novel, On Herring Cove Road: Mr. Rosen and His 43Lb Anxiety, into the not-so-nuclear family saga series Herring Cove Road, with each following novel also in the contemporary and family saga genres but with subgenres of a murder mystery, crime, and a love story.
Now with the series Herring Cove Road completed, Michael is now working on the first novel of an amusing, heart-warming and historically-accurate family saga that begins with an English immigrant, William Lovely, and his younger brother, Oscar, coming to America in 1715 through indentured servitude, and then follows the future nine generations up until 1905. The series is tentatively called The Lovelys' Family Tree, and the first novel in the series is tentatively titled Indentured Bonds and is expected to be released in April 2019.
Michael Kroft is from Halifax, Nova Scotia, single and, apparently, with too much time on his hands.
