Biographie:
Daniel King is Professor of Organization Studies at Nottingham Trent University, UK and co-director of the Centre for People, Work and Organizational Practice. Professor King's research focuses on the contribution critical perspectives of management can make to transforming organizational practice; alternative organizations and alternative ways of organizing; and critical perspectives of managing in the Third Sector. He has published in Organization Research Methods, Organization Studies, Human Relations, Management Learning and Nonprofit Voluntary Sector Quarterly. Daniel reviews for a number of leading journals and is an editorial board member for Work Employment and Society and co-series editor of Organizations and Activism, Bristol University Press. He has lead research projects funded by the British Academy, ESRC and Government Equalities Office. Dr Scott Lawley is a Senior Lecturer in Organisation Studies at Nottingham Trent University, and leads undergraduate modules in this subject area at all levels. His research covers areas of diversity and inclusion, especially in sports organisations. He has led or participated in research projects funded by Sport England and the UK Government Equalities Office, and reviews for a number of leading journals. Daniel and Scott co-lead the 1st year module Foundations of Managing and Organising, at Nottingham Trent University which has approximately 1300 students. Based on this book, the module offers a critical introduction to Organizational Behaviour.
